Student internship documents in Poland: deadlines and who signs what
Porozumienie, skierowanie, dziennik praktyk, sprawozdanie, opinia, zaświadczenie: what each internship document in Poland is for and when to hand it in.
Student internships
Before an internship starts, your department usually requires several documents: an application, a program praktyk (internship programme) and a porozumienie (agreement) with the host organisation. We prepare them using your university’s templates. Start with the free list so you know exactly what is needed.
The documents due before an internship are the ones that most often delay it. An organisation may be ready to take you next week, but the porozumienie o praktykę has to be signed by both the university and the host, and at a large company that can take weeks. At many universities the internship cannot formally start without it, and hours worked before the date in the agreement may not count.
Depending on your department, the set may include an application for the placement (wniosek or deklaracja), the porozumienie or umowa, a skierowanie issued by the university, the program praktyk and, in some fields, insurance or medical certificates. If you want your current job recognised as the internship, the set is different again and usually includes a description of your duties from your employer.
We prepare the documents on your department’s templates, ready for signature. Where a host organisation has never taken an intern from your university, a short cover letter explaining what it is being asked to sign can speed things up.
Keep scans of everything signed. Originals pass through several hands, from the host’s HR office to the dean’s office, and a copy can save you from collecting the same signatures twice. Prices are per document and depend on how many your department’s list contains.
